Wrestling Shirt

Written by John on Announcement – 7:24 am -

There has been quite a few wrestling organisations throughout history, which include; (WWE) World Wrestling Entertainment, (WCW) World Championship Wrestling, (ECW) Extreme Championship Wrestling and (TNA) Total Nonstop Action to name but a few.

Most if not all of these organisations have merchandise the fans can purchase and wear, to remind them of the live wrestling event they went to, or didn’t go to. (All they got was this lousy t-shirt)

Getting a wrestling shirt in the past has been exciting. You would wait impatiently for it, then when you got the wrestling shirt you ended up disappointed because it looked ok, but the quality of the wrestling shirt was pretty poor.

If you buy a wrestling shirt now, the quality is so much better and the designs make the wrestling shirt look like a designer t-shirt, but how will you know if the wrestling shirt is good quality fabric, has a cool design and is value for money?

Well, I will review a new wrestling shirt at least once a week and sometimes twice and give my honest opinion.

Each wrestling shirt that I review, I will give a rating from 1 to 5 on the quality of the fabric and a rating from 1 to 5 on the design and then I will give an overall rating from 1 to 5 with regards to whether it’s value for money.

I will mainly look at WWE wrestling shirts, TNA wrestling shirts and possibly sometimes independent wrestling shirts.

One shirt I think is 5 out of 5 in quality and design is Shawn Michaels Faith shirt. It looks almost like a designer t shirt. It feels good. It’s great value for money. It’s definetly a must have for anyone who wears wrestling shirts or wants to build up their wrestling shirt collection.

Until next time,

I want these wrestling shirts!

Written by John on August 19, 2008 – 9:52 pm -

Ok, so here are a few examples of how wrestling shirts should be made. These are long sleeve shirts, (my personal preference) and they look like designer shirts, (ie affliction)

Edge: Crude, Lewd & Rude

This is a cool wrestling shirt. It’s not cartoony, it looks amazing and I’d definetly give it 5/5 on design.

Triple H: Skulls

Once again, another brilliant and fantastic wrestling shirt. It looks amazing and although it has artwork on the front, it’s not as cheesy as some of the wrestling shirts are.

Randy Orton: Skull

Another excellent design and this wrestling shirt is in a sexy black. It’s not too in your face and you’d have to be a wrestling fan to notice it’s a wrestling shirt. Brilliant.

Stone Cold: Been There, Destroyed That

I’m not sure if I want this shirt. It’s too obvious it’s a wrestling shirt. I’ve had Stone Cold shirts in the past and they wasn’t that great, BUT…. this one does look fantastic so I’m unsure.

I’ve just noticed, what is it with wrestling shirts and skulls?

Also, if any of you lovely readers want to buy me one of these, (or all of them!), I’m a small btw…

What Is The Oldest Wrestling Shirt?

Written by John on August 17, 2008 – 9:46 pm -

I came across this wrestling shirt on ebay as I was browsing.

Wrestling Shirt

It’s from the AWA and supposedly it’s from 1984, which I think is really cool.

I like the fact it’s a long sleeve wrestling shirt which makes it even rarer. I’m really into long sleeve wrestling shirts at the moment. I love the fact that the wrestlers faces are crudelly placed on the sleeves. (This was 1984 and the AWA, they didn’t have that much money)

That got me thinking though. What is the oldest professional wrestling shirt ever made? I’m guessing there has to be some from the 1970’s. Possibly Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes or Superstar Billy Graham. Are there any earlier than that I wonder?

I know merchandise wasn’t really mainstream until Vince McMahon made the then WWF global in the 1980’s, but there has to be someone who sold a few shirts to make some extra cash.

Time for a bit of investigating I think…
